What our previous patients have said?

"After suffering with my hip since having the children and exercising, I went to see Bex to see what she could advise.  After a few sessions, the pain has gone!

I would definitely recommend Bex to anyone needing sports therapy; she is honest, professional and gives great advice for techniques to use following treatment."

"I have suffered with a bad back for many months and when it got so bad that I couldn't even stand to wash myself I thought it time to see someone.

I was treated by Becky and felt a significant improvement within a week. She is very professional and I would recommend her to anyone.  Many thanks"

Injury FAQs

We hope that these FAQs will cover some of your initial queries about our Injury Assessments and Treatments.

If you have anything else you would like to know then you can get in touch with us on 01352 746 500 or clinic@clwydiansportstherapy.co.uk.

What to expect during an initial injury assessment?

We first run through an injury consultation, where we gather information which is relevant to your injury, health and lifestyle.

The physical exam is where we observe, palpate, measure and test the body structures to establish what is going on:

  • Damaged tissues (muscles, ligaments, joints),

  • Weak and/or tight muscles,

  • Unbalanced movement patterns.

Once we understand what is going on, we can carry out appropriate treatment and/or exercises to start the recovery.

How long are the appointments?

An initial injury assessment is up to an hour appoinment, to allow sufficient time to complete.

Follow up appointments are usually half an hour.

How many treatments am I likely to need?

This is always a difficult question to answer as there are many variables:

  • How long you have had the injury (or underlying cause),

  • Your activity levels,

  • Regular physical demands placed on your body,

  • Whether home exercises are completed to assist recovery and treatment

Each body is unique and responds differently to treatment, so we take an individual approach too.
